The institute’s mission is to promote, enable and recognise the power of the Internet to benefit the Arab society.
We aim to be a regional Internet policy center of excellence, promoting understanding of challenges and opportunities for action in the Internet industry.
We focus on internet related topics and its evolution, and this includes areas such as Internet access, access to information, intellectual property, privacy, cybersecurity and Internet governance.
We work to achieve this mission by involving community members, users groups, public agencies and business leaders.
We believe that the internet has provided unprecedented access to information and knowledge, and catalyzed economic growth and social development. It has also facilitated new forms of violation of rule of law and extremism.
Our institute is committed to fostering an Internet ecosystem underpinned by openness, inclusiveness, transparency, and innovation.
The vision of the institute is to provide policy-focused research and analysis on the intersection of Internet and society. It focuses on understanding the context in which the Internet emerge, develop, change and impact our societies.
The institute proposes no preferred judgment on any technology or standard. It does not promote any particular software or a platform. It does not take any political side or promote a political agenda.
